ThamesWey has been invited by Milton Keynes Council to join a cross-sector partnership of organisations focusing on a range of initiatives relating to planning for a low carbon future in Milton Keynes.
Thameswey recently hosted the Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD) who were keen to learn about Woking and our work with low carbon energy technology. This was a study group tour and Delegates were entertained with a lecture, workshop and site visit.
From 8th May 2013, C-Plan went live across local planning authorities in Yorkshire and Humberside. In a phased roll out, it will begin with 6 local planning authorities including Sheffield, Wakefield, Doncaster, Scarborough, Hambleton and Richmondshire in the first tranche of the roll out. The second tranche of the roll out will be following shortly.
Thameswey’s new Solar Portal has been launched to provide more detailed information about the solar photovoltaic (PV) arrays installed and operated by Thameswey. With over 1.8MWp of PV installed on 45 sites across the Borough of Woking, the portal provides real-time data and statistics on the renewable energy generated by our PV.
ThamesWey recently welcomed a delegation of Israeli Mayors, local authority officers, company CEO’s and Vice Presidents who were on a tour of European cities to learn more about innovative local energy solutions, led by ICLEI (Local Governments for Sustainability) in co-ordination with the Covenant of Mayors.
Thameswey Energy, the low carbon energy provider, has revealed its pivotal role in assisting Network Rail achieve an ‘Excellent’ rating for its new national headquarters building in the centre of Milton Keynes.
