How to use your heating and hot water
Your local Energy Centre generates both power and heat, which are piped directly to homes on the Thameswey Energy district network.
Electricity is distributed to connected homes via a private wire system.
Heat is also generated by the Energy Centre, and this enters homes as heated water via a network of insulated, steel hot water pipes. A heat exchanger in your home automatically transfers this into heat that you can use to heat rooms and water in your property.
If you experience any problems, our customer service team can resolve most issues. Before calling them, it is worth carrying out the following checks:
1. Check that your heat exchanger is switched on at the wall (there is an on/off switch on the wall next to your heat exchanger)
2. Check that you are receiving electricity to the property (how?) and that your fuse breaker box switches are switched on (where is this?)
3. Check your programmer and timer and / or thermostat and your TRVs (thermostatic radiator valve?) are set correctly. (How you would know this?)
If problems persist with your heat exchanger, contact Thameswey Energy customer services. They can arrange for a Thameswey Energy engineer to visit your home if necessary.
